we have alot of these antique cable cars that shuttle people around the city. I prefer these over the new ones any day.

Lamps from Antique Cars 3
I attended the New London to New Brighton Antique Car Run last Saturday. They stopped in Litchfield, MN for a break and I took that opportunity to take some photos. From their website: "All vehicles up through 1908 and any 1 or 2 cylinder vehicles through 1915 are invited to participate."
As I looked at the cars I became fascinated with their lights. It is easy to forget that many of these vehicles used kerosene or oil lamps to provide headlights and tail lights. I didn't record which lamp goes with which car, but during the event I saw a variety of Maxwell cars, Buicks, Cadillacs, REO, and several others.

I went to the "Rebirth of Glens Falls" celebration this past Friday night. Glens Falls, NY. has undergone a revitalization effort consisting of revamping the sidewalks, paving Glen st. and building a roundabout at the busy 5-way intersection nearby. This was sorely needed to save the numerous new businesses coming into the area. For the celebration, Cooper's Cave car enthusiasts club had a display of fine antique cars. This one caught my eye as it also had the Glens Falls, Hometown U.S.A. logo on the license plate. This title was given to Glens Falls by Look Magazine in 1944 and the citizens are rightly proud of that as was the owner of this beautiful Ford.
